A24 has released the first trailer and a release date for J.C. Chandor's highly anticipated new movie, A Most Violent Year. Starring Oscar Isaac, Jessica Chastain, and Albert Brooks, the movie is set in New York City, 1981, one of the most violent years on record, and focuses on one immigrant family and the empire they amass. A24 has been very coy with releasing any information about this film, so this is a well-played move. I haven't seen the trailer yet, but let me know if this seems like something that can wreck the race and if I should've waited a day before releasing part 1 of my Oscar predictions (found here).
