Fun time. Glad I was able to see this one in IMAX. The visuals were spectacular enough to warrant that theater trip, and the content was also worth it. I love Rocket & Groot solo, and I'd like to see Marvel risk it all and center a movie around them without the rest. I do like Chris Pratt here, but he was definitely given too much of a straight man role in a film that's this goofy. Idiot jokes are funny, so that helped this film's cause. But neither Gamora or Drax have heard of sarcasm before? Weak. The "stick together" message was handled with the subtlety of a Saturday cartoon, but that wasn't enough to make it a bad film. It's going out of theaters, but catch it while you still can. It looks great, and it's fun enough to see with a crowd. Recommended.
